After the recent debut of the awesome trailer, Square-Enix has released additional info on the highly anticipated remake of ‘Final Fantasy VII’, stating:

Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be told across a multi-part series, with each entry providing its own unique experience.

Not exactly what to make of this idea for a multi-part series personally. I really don’t see why FF7 needs to be split into different games. The only way I can see this working out is if the spinoffs (such as Crisis Core and Advent Children) will be incorporated into the main game itself. We’ll see how things go…

New ‘Final Fantasy VII Remake’ Trailer Released

A new trailer for the highly anticipated remake of ‘Final Fantasy VII’ has been released, revealing our first look at how the gameplay will look. And as expected, it’s completely different than the orginal’s, adapting a style similar to ‘Kingdom Hearts’ and ‘Final Fantasy XV’.

Honestly, it looks pretty good. I never played the original, so I have no attachment to the old battle system. Plus, this looks a whole lot more exciting than the original FFVII, so I’m hyped! Really hope some of Nomura’s original ideas for FFXV make their way into this game.

Cloud Strife added to ‘Super Smash Bros.’ Roster

In what is probably the most surprising news from the recent Nintendo Direct, Cloud Strife of ‘Final Fantasy VII’ fame, will be the next character added to Nintendo’s ‘Super Smash Bros.’ roster. While ‘Final Fantasy VII’ was a Playstation-exclusive, Cloud himself has made appearances in some Nintendo games (specifically… both ‘Theatrhythm’ games, ‘Kingdom Hearts – Chain of Memories’, ‘Kingdom Hearts – Re:coded’, and ‘Final Fantasy Explorers’). Whether Cloud was added because fans voted for him, or because of some deal between Nintendo and Square-Enix is up in the air. For now, enjoy Cloud’s SSB debut trailer:
